Sun-Star Electric is the largest distributor of Hitachi Electric Motors — particularly submersible electric motors — in the United States. Established in Texas in 1977, Sun-Star Electric Motors is now the only authorized warranty, repair, and manufacturing facility for Hitachi submersible motors in the world.

As a Sun-Star Electric distributor, Nickerson Company facilitates the sale, repair, and replacement of Hitachi submersible motors as well as Sun-Star Electric’s own line of submersible pump motors. These pump motors, which service the agricultural, commercial, industrial, municipal, power energy, and mining markets, come in both oil-filled and water-filled configurations and run up to 800 HP.
At Nickerson Company, we do not directly perform pump motor service and repair at our in-house machine and mechanical shop. Instead, we partner with EASA-certified electric pump motor repair shops to service, repair, and replace all Sun-Star and Hitachi electric pump motors.
