We are proud to announce the completion of our new dedicated pump training facility located at our offices in Salt Lake City. Responding to the needs and requests of owners, operators, end users, and engineers, Nickerson Company has had a long history of providing educational seminars on pumping equipment theory, selection, application and maintenance. Historically, we have presented seminars at trade shows and facilities owned by our customers. We believed there would be a great deal of interest in a facility dedicated to pump equipment training, set up with the proper audio visual equipment, and sized to comfortably service groups of 35 – 40 people. Our brand new 1,000 square foot classroom is ready to go and was purpose-built to host pump seminars on a wide variety of topics, and on a regular and ongoing basis.
CEU’s Coming Soon
Of great interest to operators seeking continuing education credits, we are working with the state department of water resources to gain approval for our seminars to count as continuing education credits. We plan to bring in major pumping equipment manufacturers to do product specific training. Upon request, we will provide training on just about any aspect of centrifugal pumps, their application, repair, and service. A huge advantage of holding these educational seminars at our facility is the ability to provide hands-on exposure to the topics being discussed, including observing actual repair processes as they take place in our repair shop facility.
Classes Starting January 2015
We plan to begin offering classes in January of 2015. Classes will be offered at no cost to attendees. Please feel free to contact us for further information regarding our new training facility.
