Nickerson Company has a long history of providing educational seminars on pumping equipment theory, selection, application, engineering, and maintenance. Our past seminars were typically presented at trade shows and at our customers’ facilities, but in 2014 we decided to build an in-house training facility at our offices in Salt Lake City.
Responding to the needs and requests of owners, operators, end users, and engineers, our 1,000-square-foot facility is solely dedicated to in-house training seminars on pumps and their related equipment. Our classroom is outfitted with a state-of-the-art audio-visual system and can comfortably service up to 40 people. Our seminars include training on pumping basics, pump selection, system design tips, pump maintenance, and seal inspection, as well as training on almost everything we sell. We also offer specialized seminars on pump motors and pumping system valves.
These classes occur on a regular, ongoing basis and are free of charge. We encourage our customers to contact our sales office for a seminar schedule or to request specific training.
Continuing Education (CEU)
In addition to our seminars, we also bring in major pumping equipment manufacturers to do product-specific training. Upon request, we also provide training on almost every aspect of centrifugal pumps and their applications, as well as pump repair and service. For system operators seeking Continuing Education Units (CEUs), we provide training that qualifies for credits.
The biggest advantage of holding these educational seminars at our facility is our ability to provide our customers with hands-on exposure to the topics being discussed, including observing repair processes as they take place in our repair shop facility. Classes are offered at no cost to attendees. Please feel free to contact us for further information about our training facility, seminars, and CEU classes.
